- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to contract on a sole source basis with Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids, IA for a replacement system for the ARC-161 HF Radio and ACQ-5 Data Link under the P-3 Off The Shelf Readiness Improvement (OTSRI) Program/Critical Obsolescence Program (COP). Approximately 150 units will be procured. The Rockwell Collins HF9550 derivative is a suitable replacement system as it has the capability and flexibility to include the ACQ-5 Data Link replacement and is currently employed on similar U.S. Navy assets.
