- NA The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is a market survey to determine the existence of sources for the contract effort to support the Advanced Measurements Optical Range (AMOR) program. The AMOR is a unique facility which is the only indoor optical r ange that provides accurate far-field simulation and measurement of target signatures. The proposed contract effort shall include, but is not limited to the following: The contract shall implement a program to operate and maintain the laser imager located in the AMOR facility in Building 7768 on Redstone Arsenal. The contractor shall collect data on specified targets, analyze the data, and report on the results. The contractor shall develop and validate software to operate the laser imager and to analyze the collected data. The contractor shall design, build, test, operate and maintain Ladar systems under government direction. The contractor shall design, build, test, operate and maintain lasers including but not limited to CO2 multifolded lasers. The contractor shall have expertise and experience with CO2 lasers, multifolded lasers, laser imagers, and the related data collection and analysis. The contractor shall design, build (or procure as appropriate), test, operate and maintain all components of t he AMOR laser imager and associated equipment. The contractor shall design, build (or procure as appropriate) test, operate and maintain a portable laser imager, as required by the government, in locations specified by the government. The contractor shall construct simulated targets as required by the government. The contractor shall provide electrical design & fabrication and use Electro-static Discharge (ESD) certified equipment facilities procedures. The contractor shall maintain & repair electrical, el ectronic & mechanical equipment that was manufactured in the 1970??????s to date. The contractor shall provide mechanical design & fabrication, which includes but not limited to, mill work, lathe work, welding and Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machining. A current SECRET facililty and storage clearance will be required for performance. This action is not open to allied participation at prime contract level. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)code for this acquisition is 541710 and the Small Business size standard is 1000 employees. Interested firms must provide whether they are small business, small disadvantaged business, educational institution, other nonprofit organization, or large business. Interested firms should submit their written qualifications to U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense command at diana.mccown@smdc.army.mil. Requests must be received within fifteen (15) days from publication of this announcement and should cite AMOR as the subject.
