Description

NA The US Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center intends to award on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and 13.5 to Titan Systems Corporation, Pulse Science Division, 2700 Merced St., San Leandro, CSA 94577-0599 for replacement of components on an exi sting laboratory X-Ray system. Titan Systems Corporation was the original manufacturer and supplier of the X-Ray system. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supple mented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received on or before the response date indicated in this announcement will be considered by the government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The solicitation nu mber is DAAD1703R0028. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334517 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. FOB Destination delivery is required within 60 days after contract award to Bldg 1145B, US Army Research Laboratory, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, MD 21005-5066. The following FAR provisions/clauses apply: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items and Criteria, 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required T o Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. The following DFAR clauses apply: 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items. The prov ision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable to this solicitation. To ensure sufficient information is available, vendors must furnish as part of their proposal all descriptive materials (such as cuts, illustrations, drawings, or oth er information) necessary for the government to determine whether the product meets the technical requirements Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications - Commercial Items and DFARS 2 52.212-7000, Offeror Representation and certifications with its offer. This acquisition is rated under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) as DO-C9E.
