Description

The Food and Drug Administration, Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition has a need to develop an analytical predictive modeling tool and to identify the data requirements to support its predictive abilities. The analytical predictive modeling tool will be capable of projecting outcomes and their probabilities in terms of the likely distribution of human illness and economic consequences of food adulteration events. The data required to run the model will include such things as characteristics of the food supply, food handling and consumption practices, and the nature of potential hazards. The contractor will determine existing data sources, their accessibility to support the model, and additional data sources to be developed. The Request for Proposal will only be available on the FedBizzOpps web page for the release of the solicitation and amendments. The RFP should be available for downloading on/about fifteen (15) days after publication of this announcement. This requirement will be small business set-aside requirement.
