- Description
- The U.S. States Secret Service (USSS) has a requirement for the planning, engineering and the paving of road at the James J Rowley Training Center (JJRTC), 9200 Powdermill Road, Laurel, MD 20708. The actual scope and phasing of the project may be modified by the USSS based on specific requirements at the time of construction. The anticipated work for the project is for the paving of : (a) South Perimeter Road from 18th Street to 13th Street and E Street ? dimensions are 1407 linear feet in length and 26 feet in width; and (b) East on E to the East Service Gate Road ? dimension are 990 linear feet in length and 45.5 feet in width. The contractor will be required to determine the exact location and elevation of all existing utilities by digging test pits by hand at all known utility crossings well in advance of any trenching. SITE SURVEY: Prospective contractors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. To participate in the Site Survey at JJRTC, prospective contractors shall register in advance with Facility Manager, Mr. Charles Homfeld, at (240) 624-3019, to provide full name/SSN/DOB of all visiting personnel. The site survey will be held at JJRTC at 10:00 am (EDST), Thursday June 19, 2003. Solicitation number USS030034 will be issued approximately 30 days after this publication, with a 20-day response time. Telephonic requests for this solicitation will not be accepted.
