Description
The project involves the demolition of the existing fifth floor office space and construction of two new courtrooms and chambers in the Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse, 200 W. Second Street, Dayton, OH. The construction includes new ceilings, lighting, walls, millwork, furniture, carpeting, HVAC and plumbing. A holding cell is also included. Approximately 9,682 sq. ft. are involved plus work in the fifth floor corridor. Contract completion time is 365 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated range of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. In accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this procurement is totally set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $28.5 million. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. A pre-proposal conference will be held - details will be in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on/about June 16, 2003. This solicitation includes Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) building information and will not be available on FedBizOpps. For reasons of security and before release of SBU information, the requester must complete and sign the Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidders/Offerors form (available on this website). In addition, the following information must be submitted by the requester: (1) A copy of the company's business license; (2) the company's Dunn and Bradstreet number, and (3) the company's tax identification number. Anyone picking up the SBU documents in person would also need to furnish a valid picture state driver's license. NO TELEPHONE OR E-MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED; however, facsimiles will be accepted. The signed notice and all required documentation shall be submitted to General Services Administration, Attn: Lynda Harney, 100 E. Fifth Street, Room 208, Cincinnati, OH 45202 or fax number (513)246-4492. After receipt and verification of the preceding information, the requester will be designated as an authorized user and a copy of the solicitation will be released on compact disc (CD) via U.S. Mail Service to the requester. Potential offerors must ensure that the request includes the address to which a CD is to be sent. Potential offerors will be responsible for monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any, to the solicitation. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be July 28, 2003 at 2:00 PM (EST).
