- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for an aluminum sail platform to be constructed per NAVSEA drawing no. X11210 revision B. A copy of the drawing will be mailed upon request. The platform shall be approximately 14? wide x 40? long x 7? high. The platform will be installed 726 class submarines to facilitate work on the snorkel, periscopes, and antenna masts. After award, the contractor shall provide a certificate of completion as proof that load tests have been performed as specified in drawing X11210 ? revision B. Place of delivery is Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. Delivery required on or before 30 September 2003. The commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 2 June 2003 with a closing date of 23 June 2003. Per FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 26 days from this announcement. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to joshua_c_carter@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. Please do not call with questions regarding the posting of the solicitation on NECO until after the posting date, 2 June 2003. This office will maintain no bidder list. No paper copies of the RFQ / amendments will be mailed. Offerors should, though, submit an email request for the referenced drawings to the above mentioned email address. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. To be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
