Description
service to provide review of cytopathology slides. the number of slides requiring review is estimated at 6,300. nh charleston will be responsible for transportation of slides, relevant data, and documents to and from contractor's facility. contractor to provide a result for each slide reviewed using a reporting procedure and format agreed upon by representatives of both institutions. each slide will be screened by a certified general supervisor level cytotechnologist. when further diagnostic procedures are required on specific slides, such slides will be re-screened by and/or reviewed by appropriate individuals that are board certified in cytopathology. each slide shall be subjected to an unbiased prelitigation test of multiple-slide blinded rescreening rather than on biased retrospective reviews. the contractor will perform for and provide to nh charleston, quality assessment and statistical data relevant to the study. results, in hard copy form and electronic format will be delivered weekly in arrears. contractor shall conduct the review at its own facilities using its on supplies, equipment and resources. the review shall be performed by several qualified reviewers acceptable to nh charleston. contractor to provide a written summary report for nh charleston of re-screening review findings. any remaining slides will be packaged and returned at the end of the contract period. the study and the contractor's reports to nh charleston, with respect to the results thereof shall only be disclosed to nh charleston. the contractor shall hold in strict confidence the study, the reports and all other information provided to or developed in the course of the study. the poc at nh charleston to receive reports to be provided at contract award. notices, copies of notices or other communciations required or permitted hereunder shall be in writing, delivered by overnight mail, and shall be effective on the date of mailing. neither the contractor or nh charleston shall be liable for delays in performance that are the result of causes beyond its reasonable control.
