- PLANNED INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TOOLS (IT2) SYSTEM ACCESSORIES AND RUGGED DEVICES ACQUISITION ANNOUNCEMENT, F01620-03-R-0018 Contracting Office: Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, Electronic Systems Center, Headquarters, Standard Systems Group, Directorate of Contracting, 490 East Moore Dr., Suite 270, MAFB-Gunter Annex, AL 36114-3000 Notice: Thank you for your interest in the IT2 program. IT2 provides a five-year framework to conduct a series of iterative acquisitions to fulfill Air Force (AF) Information Technology (IT) requirements as existing contractual vehicles expire or new requirements evolve. The next tentatively planned iterative acquisition for Block 4 is for the System Accessories and Rugged Devices Supplier Market Categories (SMCs), which includes the following: System Accessories: This SMC is intended to meet recurring requirements for products to upgrade existing systems. The Government seeks companies whose core business is Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Reseller of the products in the system accessories category to meet existing and future requirements. ?System Accessories? encompasses various products such as storage/backup devices, monitors/flat panel Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs), memory, network accessories, handheld devices/Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), peripherals, power supplies and connecting equipment, and shipping cases. Rugged Devices: For this SMC, the Government seeks companies whose core business is Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Reseller of products in the rugged devices category to meet existing and future requirements. "Rugged Devices" are defined as portable computing devices that have been designed to withstand drops, water/moisture, heat, cold, shock, and/or dust. The category includes products that have been MIL-STD certified, as well as products that have not been MIL-STD certified. Headquarters Standard Systems Group (HQ SSG) plans to seek small business manufacturers and resellers interested in participating in this acquisition in accordance with the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334111. The Government intends to limit participation to small businesses based upon the offeror?s General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Schedule 70 and 74, at time of proposal submission. This is not a formal solicitation under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 or a FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition.
