NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation No. DTRS57-03-Q-80141 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), FAR Part 13.5. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-13. The NAICS Code is 443112 and the Small Business size standard is $7.5M. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price Purchase Order a nd to solicit and negotiate on a competitive basis. The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) has a requirement to purchase two RAID rack mounted systems consisting of the following components: 1 EA - Redundant SCSI RAID Rack Mounted Storage System, 3U height, with rail Kit to install it in a Dell 4210 Rack. 12 horizontal Bay Redundant RAID Chassis: 11 Hot-swapable hard drive carriers 12th slot for Controller. Dual hot-swapable 300-watt power supplies, each having dual cooling fans rated @ 7.3 Cubic feet per minute (CFM) per fan total 29.2CFM. 2 each Chassis fans 23.5CFM each combined total at least 76.2CFM; 1 EA - Infortrend SR150 Ultra 160 RAID Controller 1 U160 SCSI Host Channel 3 U160 SCSI Drive Channels. Battery protected ECC memory 128MB (max expansion to 1GB). Firmware-embedded Java based GUI RAID Manager with real-time event notification and monitoring. Up to 32LUNs per host ID Command Queuing, Multi-host and Clustering support with Parity background checks and corrections. Controller mounted in 12th slot. Battery backup system, RS232 null modem connection, and documentation; 11 EA - 73.4GB Hard Drives Seagate Part No. ST373307LC (no substitutes); 1 EA - 1 Meter SCSI external Host Cable and 1ea SCSI Terminator; Pre-Configured for RAID 5 Assembled and tested. Delivery of the RAID system shall be FOB Destination within 30 days of award to FAA/AAM-6 CAMI Network Admin., 6500 S. MacArthur Blvd., CAMI, Room 270, Oklahoma City, OK 73169, ATTN: John Vogt. The specifications listed above are for Brand Name only equals will not be accepte d. Proposals shall include pricing for the following item in a written quotation: CLIN 0001 ? RAID Rack Mounted System, 2 EA _________, Total of item no. 0001__________. Solicitation provision FAR 52.212-1, Instruction of Offerors-Commercial Items (OCT 2000) is hereby incorporated by reference; the offer must include a copy of the standard commercial warranty per FAR Clause 52.212-1(b)(5), Terms of any Express Warranty. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items: Award will be made based upon the best value to the Government. The Government will make one award resulting from this solicitation to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, considering lowest price. All Offerors must include a completed copy of the provis ion at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (MAY 2002) must be submitted with the offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, is hereby incorporated by reference. This notice of intent is a request for competitive proposals.
