- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ# 919437, the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13. This solicitation in under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The North American Industry Classification System Code is 33314 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. This will be a Firm-Fixed price contract. One-time buy, all or none. The Government intends to acquire competitive prices on the following items: Part #8165406 Retrofit Zeiss Axiotron Microscope to include: J&M TIDAS Diode-Array, 190-120nm, 0.8 nm/pixel resolution, 12 ms minimum integration, housing and power supply, compatiable with Zeiss Axiotron. Part #8165438 Backward illumination source (tungsten-halogen); Part #5159892 Ergonomic binocular tubes with TV camera coupling device; Part #8165439 TV camera, software, and frame grabber card; Part #51-6000 Y-fiber optic cable; Part #5160080 Ocular micrometer; Part #5159884 Filler wheel with shutter; Part #5159699 SpectraForensic controlling software with PCI interface card and cable; Part #9999999 Quartz slides and cover glasses; Part #5159863 Desktop PC with P111 processor, Windows NT, 256 MB RAM, 30 GB hard drive, CD-ROM-RW, 3.5" floppy drive, 17" flat panel, inkjet printer; Part #8869921 System integration and training (two (2) days/eight (8) hours) to include: Round trip flight expenses, automobile rental, hotel accommodations, and meals; Part #9999999 Clean and inspect all optical surfaces on Axiotron microscope; FOB-Destination--FBI, Laboratory Building, Quantico, VA 22135; All responsible sources that submit a quote within 10 days shall be considered by the agency. The following FAR clauses are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions To Offerors-Commerical Items (Oct 2000); FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commerical Items (Jan 1999); FAR 52.212-4 Contrat Terms and Conditions-Commerical Items (Feb 2002); Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR provisions at 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications (Jan 1997) with its offer. All proposals shall be submitted to the address listed on line number seven no later than 1:30 P.M. EST, 06/10/03. All proposals shall be clearly marked with RFQ# 919437. All offerors are here by notified that if your proposal is not received by the date/time and at the location specified in this notice announcement, that it will be considered late/nonresponsive.
