- Description
- This reconstruction project consists of the following items of work, but is not limited to these items: furnishing all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies to perform all work necessary for the removal of existing unstable road with appurtenance. Realignment of the embankment approximately the width of one lane plus shoulders on to a stable base shown on drawings attached to the solicitation and bank stabilization above and below the road and drainage improvements. The Russian River Campground Road (FDR 1015) is located on the south side of Sterling Highway at Milepost 52.6. The reconstruction section is approximately 0.3 mile from the Highway. The work shall be started within 48 hours and completed within 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed to be issued by the Contracting Office following prework meeting. The work involves removal, disposal and replacement of existing aggregate base and asphalt surface. Removal of gabion walls and monitoring wells, resetting and lengthening of guardrails, installation of drainage features and revegetating the exposed slopes. The Contractor shall prepare and submit to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) within 15 days after contract award, a performance schedule showing the order in which the contractor proposes to perform the work, and the dates on which the contractor contemplates starting and completing the asphalt surfacing work. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered. Award of this project to be accomplished under Full and Open Competition, pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The solicitation and drawings will be available for downloading at http://www.fedbizops.gov on the solicitation issue date. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to check Fedbizopps for any amendments to the solicitation or this announcement.
