- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, El Paso Flight Operations Center plans to competitively award a solicitation with an initial performance period of 12-months with four 12-month option periods, which, if exercised could extend the performance to a total of five years, for Turbomeca Arriel 1B and 2B engines and components. The solicitation will provide for: the purchase outright of new components, components on an exchange basis (with the Government providing a repairable core for credit), by overhaul or repair of a Government owned core or a combination of all four. All exchange/overhaul/repair are to be performed by an authorized Turbomeca Repair Center and Federal Aviation Administration (or comparable if non-domestic) certified repair station. All items shall be to the latest configuration and standards in accordance with applicable Turbomeca maintenance manuals, service letters, service bulletins, and authorized maintenance center information letters with changes in effect at the time the orders are placed. The fixed price with time and materials contract shall be a requirements type contract which will include requirements for support of the AS350BA and AS350B3 Government owned and operated helicopters. Prospective Bidders are requested to send name and place of performance address, within 10 days after solicitation issuance, to the Contracting Officer at 915 782-4477 so that wage determinations can be obtained. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Bidders are encouraged to register at the bottom of this notice for automatic electonic notifications. All bids received will be evaluated for the initial 12-month period plus the four 12-month option periods. A firm due date will be determined when the solicitation is issued. Note 26.
