Reference solicitation #MDA906-03-R-0002, Amendment 0004 to the TRICARE Retail Pharmacy (TRRx) solicitation is issued and may be downloaded at: http://www.tricare.osd.mil/contracting/healthcare/solicitations/retail This amendment was necessary to factually respond to offeror questions related to the Government's minimum required urban access standards. In order to respond to the questions and ensure that all potential offerors have the maximum opportunity to compete for this requirement, the Government has re-validated its data and minimum access standards. In addition, this amendment provides for giving additional credit in the evaluation of proposals to those offerors who commit to exceeding the Government's minimum access standards. The relative importance of the evaluation factors are also amended. Also, the amendment clarifies that *estimated driving distance* should be used in calculating the access standards; and the Government's current network pharmacy access rates have been provided. The amendment also request offerors to submit network access data electronically instead of hard-copy to allow for Government verification. As a result of this amendment the closing date for receipt of proposals has been extended by 10 working days to June 11, 2003. The Contracting Officer will answer questions received by close of business Friday, May 30, 2003.
