Description

Title: SMART VMS, Trailer Client: 45 SFS/SFTS This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition (Reference FAR Parts 12 and 13.5). The required service is to provide a Smart VMS: included four 6 VDC batteries, amber violator alert, over-speed blank, removable hitch and directional radar unit, axle lock cable, and powder coat spare tire. The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to Kustom Signals, Inc. Kustom Signals Inc. is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement since they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer and must perform all maintenance on their equipment to maintain warranty integrity. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Solicitation No. F08650-03-T-0162 is issued as a Request for Quotation. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3812, business size of 750 employees, and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334511. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued on or about 30 May 03. The solicitation will not be posted electronically, but this office will provide a copy to any firm requesting one. Anticipated award date will be on or around 05 June 03. Point of contact is 2Lt.
