Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking information on t= he availability of commercial research tools via the Internet. These resea= rch tools are necessary to provide logistics/parts information to logistici= ans, parts researchers, repair technicians, engineers and catalogers involv= ed in procurement or testing and repair activities of commercial/ industria= l/ military electronic assemblies. =20 Information is requested on the availability of commercial research tools t= hat contain FAA=E2=80=99s required and desired features as follows:=20 Required features: Research tool capable of performing Combination Searche= s/Wild Card Searches to find/locate performance parameters, pin description= s, voltage and/or logic levels of input/output/control pins.=20 Desired features: Research tool capable of performing Combination Searches= /Wild Card Searches to find/locate specifications, internal logic and analo= g diagrams, truth tables, current and/or resistance and/or impedance of inp= ut/output/control pins, timing diagrams, minimum/maximum performance tolera= nces, any other information suitable and useful for troubleshooting analysi= s and repair of industrial type electronic assemblies using commercial and = mil spec semiconductor devices. =20 Interested firms with research tools having the capability of meeting the F= AA=E2=80=99s requirements are requested to submit information on its tool(s= ). Submissions are to be in the form of a list identifying FAA=E2=80=99s r= equired and desired features and whether the research tools does or does no= t contain the corresponding referenced feature. Documentation should be se= nt via email to the contracting officer or sent to the following address: FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center Attn: AMQ-210/Joy L. Dickson P.O. Box 25082 Oklahoma City, OK 73125 Responses should be received no later than June 6, 2003. The FAA will not = pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses t= o this announcement. Any proprietary information should be so marked. Ind= ividual company responses will not be disclosed to other vendors. This ann= ouncement is for information only and shall not be construed as a request f= or proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these ser= vices. However, the submission of documentation indicating the existence o= f research tools capable of satisfying the Government=E2=80=99s =E2=80=9Cre= quired=E2=80=9D features may result in the issuance of a Request for Quotat= ion (RFQ). Responders to this announcement may be asked to provide addition= al details/information based on their initial submittal.
