Description

NA The US Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) Acquisition Center Washington, on behalf of the Environmental Systems and Fuel Cell Branch, Army Power Division, C2D, Communications Electronic RD&E Center, Ft Belvoir, VA 22060, proposes to enter into a sole source contract with the Modine Manufacturing Company for the hardware demonstration of a transcritical carbon dioxide heating and cooling cycle designed for military working conditions. As part of this effort, Modine Manufac turing shall develop, fabricate, and test a prototype packaged-unitary heat pump (ECU), as well as convert a government-furnished HMMWV to a CO2 system. The Army will require delivery of the converted HMMWV within 120-days after contract award and deliver y of the ECUs within 12-months after contract award. The contract will be negotiated and awarded under the authority of other than full and open competition FAR 6.302-1. The duration of this effort is 12 months.
