- Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho intends to purchase three circular manhole covers and one rectangular grate. These covers will replace damaged manhole covers and grate located on Alpha Ramp, 12 EOR and the old corrosion control hanger apron. Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services as necessary to provide three manhole covers and one grate. The three manhole covers must be 1? thick and must be 25-1/8? in diameter. The grate must be 2? thick and bevels from a 26-3/4? x 20-3/4? rectangle on top to a 26? x 20-1/8? rectangle on the bottom. The drainage grate will be a narrow-slotted grate with openings no larger than 1/4" x 6" aligned parallel to the long dimension. The dimensions of the manhole covers must remain the same to conform to the settings that exist. The manhole covers must be either grate style or solid. Manhole covers are not to have any holes, slots, or other openings in the field of the lid. The covers must be constructed of ductile iron. Ductile iron casting must conform to ASTM-A-536, Stanard Specification for Ductile Iron Castings and FAA AC: 150/5370-10, item D-751, Manholes, Catch Basins, Inlets, and Inspection Holes. The manhole covers and grate must be capable of assuming a maximum loading of 350 PSI. They must have a flat surface. Aircraft taxiing over these covers is expected. Indicate FOB destination or origin. Delivery will be to 1030 Liberator Bldg 1300 MHAFB, ID. 83648. NOTE: Prospective offeror must be registered in the Central Contract Registration (CCR) www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for award. Registering may take up to 3 weeks to process. Registering immediately is recommended in order to be eligible for timely award. This solicitation is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 331511 and the small business size standard is 500 Employees. The agency will consider all responsive small business offerors. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be available. The entire solicitation will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site http://www.eps.gov.
