- Description
- Provide all labor, material, equipment and tools required to correct electrical deficiencies at the VA Medical Center, Route 9, Martinsburg, WV 25401. Contractor shall correct the essential electrical emergency systems to comply with the latest edition of the NEA code; install a new separate Life Safety Branch; replace existing generator control panel with new, to ensure safe operation of existing generator and to accommodate new Life Safety Branch; perform a coordination and performance test by a qualified testing company on the system's ground fault protection, correct all settings and ensure safe operation and submit a written report; perform a short circuit and networking analysis; perform an inspection of the electrical rooms, panelboards and transformers and prepare a report; and provide temporary power for the essential electrical emergency system during outages as required. This is a 100% HUBZONE set-aside procurement. NAICS is 238210, size standard $12.0 million. Bid issue date is 6/1/03. Bid opening date is 7/1/03, 2:00 PM EST. The solicitation will be ready for download on 6/1/03. The solicitation may be downloaded from the website listed in this announcement. No hard copies of the solicitationn will be provided. However, drawings will be issued on a first-come-first-serve basis. Only sixteen (16) sets of drawings will be available. All requests for drawings and/or questions regarding this solicitation must be made in writing to the Contracting Officer. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments.
