Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to STOPAIDS Organization in Lagos, Nigeria. The purpose of the contract shall include HIV Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) services to targeted groups in motor parks in Lagos, Nigeria. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, STOPAIDS is the only responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The period of performance shall commence on the date of award and shall continue for a period of 12 months. The tentative date of issue for the solicitation is April 21, 2003. The solicitation will be posted electronically to the Federal Business Opportunity website (http://www.eps.gov) on or about April 21, 2003. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
