Description
?Window & Door Refurbishment?, Federal Building & US Courthouse, 517 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Work will include restoration of original double hung wood window frames and sashes on the West elevation (base contract) and North elevation (Option) of the original 1893 courthouse building. Most sashes will be removed to an offsite location, repaired, stripped, painted and re-glazed with new insulating glass. Frames and some fixed sashes will be repaired, stripped and painted in place. New weather-stripping will be installed for windows at all window openings. All interior trim around windows that was damaged and/or removed during the construction will be repaired or replaced to match original wood finish. Existing storm windows will be re-installed after restoration of the new windows is complete. New blinds will be required at openings where no existing storm windows occur. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 233320 with size standard of $28.5 million. The estimated range for the base contract is between $500,000 and $1,000.000, and between $500,000 and $1,000.000 for the option. The completion time is 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) date. The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about June 4, 2003. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns. Specification and detailed requirements will be furnished with the solicitation and will be forwarded via Compact Disc (CD) to all interested parties by mail and facsimile request only. No telephonic or electronic mail requests will be honored. All requests shall be submitted on the company?s official letterhead and submitted to: General Services Administration, ATTN: Deborah Durkins, 230 South Dearborn Street, Room 3324, Chicago, Illinois 60604. The subject solicitation includes Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) information. For reasons of security and before release of SBU information, the requester must complete the Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidder/Offerors form (available on this website). In addition, the following information must be submitted and /or provided by the requester via the spaces provided in the Notice: 1) Copy of business license, 2.) Company?s Dun & Bradstreet number, 3.) Valid Tax Identification Number, 4.) A valid picture state driver?s license (for persons picking up SBU documents). The notice shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer cited herein. No e-mail copies of the notice will be accepted: however, facsimiles will be accepted. After verification of the preceding information, the requester will be designated as an authorized user and a copy of the solicitation will be released in compact disc form to the requester. Please read the notice carefully as it contains additional requirements and information regarding SBU building information.
