Description

This project consists of providing materials, equipment, supervsion, and personnel for the construction of improvements of three overlooks at Great Falls Park, George Washington Memorial Parkway. Work includes but is not limited to: 1. Demolition and reconstruction of sidewalks surfaced with crusher fines and stone. 2. Construction of new wood decks, stairs, and ramps. 3. Demolition and reconstruction of concrete decks. 4. Installation of stone guard walls. 5. Installation of stone pavers at several locations. All work will be performed under a single contract. Bid and performance bonding will be required. Solicitation will be issued on or before May 23, 2003. All attachments will be available electronically. Site visit will take place on June 11, 2003, 10:00 AM, at Great Falls Park. It is important that each bidder visits the site and fully acquaints themself with the problems and conditions that they will encounter if they become the successful bidder. Absence from visiting the project site will not be considered as an excuse for misunderstanding the requirements of the contract.
