Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation (RFQ) requesting a firm-fixed price quote for the following to be delivered to Nashville District Corps of Engineers (COE) at various sites in the district. The solicitations document and incorporated provisions an d clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2001-13. A list with sizes and full addresses for mailing will be provided upon award. Quotes must include shipping FOB destination. Expected number of locations is 9 within the bound aries of the Nashville COE: Lenoir City, TN (38 jackets), Florence, AL (46 jackets), Grand Rivers, KY (56 jackets), Somerset, KY (38 jackets), Lancaster, KY (69 jackets), Old Hickory, TN, 1180 Cinder Road (40 jackets), Old Hickory, TN, 1188 Cinder Road (1 14 jackets), Nashville, TN 3701 Bell Road (27 jackets), Nashville, TN, 801 Broadway Avenue (437 jackets). Include delivery schedule (time to produce the jackets ready for shipment)and return policy with your quote. Estimated for purpose of submitting quo tes is a quantity of 865 jackets of the following description: Provide a jacket which most closely meets the following specifications. Each jacket will feature a water resistant shell constructed of 65% polyester and 35% cotton poplin, with contrasting c olor cotton/polyester lining. It will feature an elastic waistband and cuff with adjustable Velcro. The jacket will feature two front pockets, inner chest pocket with zipper, and full storm and outer placket. A hood is provided and concealed in the colla r. The color of the jacket shell will be khaki. The lining and inside collar will be khaki and black. Sizes and quantities to be available are 26 small, 111 medium, 300 large, 20 large tall, 259 extra large, 61 extra large tall, 66 - 2extra large, 26 - 2extra large tall, 13 - 3extra large, 12 - 3extra large tall, 3 - 4extra large tall, 1 - 5extra large tall, 1 - 6extra large, 1 - 6extra large tall. More jackets may or may not be added after award. Pricing for purposes of evaluation for award will be de termined from the 865 count. To get a copy of the emblem make your request via the e-mail address provided below. The emblem and lettering should be embroidered in red, white, blue and black on the left side of the jacket below the lapel on front and be n o smaller that 3inches by 3 inches. Vendors submitting a quote should provide a sample jacket with the place of manufacture on a label inside the jacket. The emblem need not be sewn on the jacket. Provide an emblem with like colors on a similar material to determine quality. Samples will not be returned following selection of awardee at the cost of the government. You may provide a self addressed package along with your quote with postage for the return of the jacket. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offeror s Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors are requested to provide a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with your quote. 52.212-5 (11), (18) (19) (20) (21) (22) and (23) , Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. You may access FAR Clauses and Provisions through http://farsite.hill.af.mil. This acquisition is subject to the requirements of the Buy Ame rica Act. The jacket must be am American Made jacket. This requirement is a small business set-aside which exists under NAICS code 541890, Other Services Related to Advertising, with small business size standard of $6,000,000.00 or less in yearly revenue averaged over a three year period. All interested firms must be registered in the Central Cont ract Register. Closing date for quotations is close of business 2 June 2003. Faxed quotes will not be accepted. The government intends to award a contract to the company providing the best value price and other factors considered.
