Description
This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI). Its intent is to notify potential contractors of a potential, upcoming A-10 Airborne Video Recorder Source Selection. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. The System Program Office (SPO) at Ogden Air Logistics Center (OO-ALC) is seeking information and ideas on the replacement of its current Color Airborne Video Tape Recorder (CAVTR). Potential contractors are requested to provide information on: current products meeting the needs of the Air force, as described below; a no-cost Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM); and relevant history and evidence of past performance/capability. As a minimum, all potential replacement recorders must meet the following criteria: the recorder must fit within the maximum available space, 5.88 in. W x 4.75 in. H x 6.39 in. D; the power requirement shall be 28 VDC with a max power consumption of 30 watts; it shall be backward compatible with the current A-10 Heads Up display camera; as a minimum, the recorder should be capable of simultaneously recording two video channels (EIA RS-170 B/W or NTSC Color standard), two channels of audio, and two MIL-STD-1553B interfaces, with potential for future growth (i.e. 1760 bus interface, fiber optics, etc.) onto a removable mass memory device; record playback should utilize commercially available computer hardware and software; and the recorder shall also include, as a minimum, a 10-year warranty. A Market Research Inquiry Day will be held, 17 Jun 2003, in the OO-ALC Contracting Directorate main conference room (Bldg. 1289), 0800 ? 1200 with an opportunity for a ?one-on-one? meeting with SPO personnel afterwards in the A-10 SPO Conference room (Bldg. 1284), 1300 ? 1600. Interested parties must contact the Contracting Officer, no later than, 4 June 2003 with their intent to attend. Final vendor RFI responses will be expected by 30 June 2003.
