- Description
- Eglin AFB, FL has a requirement to Upgrade Lighting for Bldg 1318,Eglin AFB FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238210. The acquisition is unrestricted. This is a Performance Price Trade Off acquisition and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. This project includes, but not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with construction of Upgrading Lighting for Bldg 1318, Eglin AFB FL to include the following: Upgrade hangar lighting; remove existent 400 watt lighting fixtures; customer has requested that 1,000 watt metal halide lighting fixtures be utilized (detailed inspection work is done in this hangar); upgrade electrical power system as required for new lighting system. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete and in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Performance period is 120 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $500,000. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Government?s Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov) on or about 20 June 2003. The ESTIMATED PRORPOSAL DUE DATE is 21 July 2003. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor?s Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS Number. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Funds are not currently available for this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under this contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. See Note 26.
