- Description
- This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Purchase Order to Nanometrics Inc., 250 Herzberg Rd., Kanata, Ontario, Canada K2K 2A1 for spare Nanometrics satellite communications hardware including Secondary Carina Transceiver with GPS antenna and 35m cable; Cygnus-NMXbux Remote Site Transceiver (TLSA) 12 MB, 2 W; Trident 3-channel 24-bit digitzer for passive sensor; Cable kit, Cygnus, GPS Ant. with Cable, RF & Temp cables. The USGS Northern California Seismic Network (NCSN) monitors earthquakes in northern and central California. The equipment is being procured so that the NCSN can replace faulty field hardware with spare equipment and keep seismic data transmitting while equipment is being repaired. Anticipated award date is May 27, 2003. A request for quotation will not be issued.
