- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ), F38601-03-Q-S112. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-06. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332992. Only faxed or e-mailed quotations will be accepted, and request must include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification ? Commercial Items, name, address, cage code, DUNS number, and telephone number with its offer. In addition, the following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, (Price and delivery [FOB destination is desired], in order of importance); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Status of Executive Orders ? Commercial Items; and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement. All contractors must be registered with the Central Contractors Registration to be eligible for award. Award will be made to the quotation which offers the best value to the government based on an integrated assessment of price, quality, delivery time and past performance. This procurement is for the purchase of personal body armor. PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS: Personal Body Armor- sizes required (44 Med/R, 47 Lar/R, 1 Lar/L, 1 XX-Lar/R, 1 X-Lar/L and 16 X-Lar/R) for a total of 110 vests. Recommended brand is Galls BP 016 or equivalent type IIIA vest. Also require Soft trauma plate. Recommended brand is Galls BP 183 or equivalent. Shipping and Handling included. All offers are due no later than 23 May 2003 at 5:00 p.m. EDT. Complete Representations and Certifications are required with submission of pricing.
