- THIS MODIFICATION (02) CHANGES DATE THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR UPLOADING AT THIS SITE TO MAY 23, 2003. Project consists of construction of a 36-foot by 120-foot (4,320 SF) pre-engineered metal building to be utilized as a Fire Facility. Fire Facility includes: four (4) 20-foot engine bays (2,880 SF) with four (4) 14-foot x 14-foot roll-up metal doors; 1,440 square feet Office/Training facility; 1,440 SF storage area above the Office/Training facility. Work consists of: site grading, demolition, compacting, aggregate base, and paving; site utilities including extensions of and connection to existing electrical service, water, sewer, telephone, LPG systems and the removal of existing utilities to be abandoned; building footings and concrete slab; complete electrical and lighting, mechanical (HVAC), and plumbing systems; framing and finishing of the Office/Training area; parking lot striping and pavement markings; interior finish of the fire engine bays with plywood sheathing to 8 feet above finished floor; and construction of six inch concrete apron and base course. Location of project: Project is located 3 miles east of State Highway 97 in Mt. Hebron, California, Siskiyou County on the Klamath National Forest. Price range is $250,000 to $500,000. Bonding is required. Estimated start work date is July 15, 2003. Contract time: 210 calendar days.
