Description
Furnish all labor, material, equipment, and transportation necessary to extend and repair the rock fall fence at Coast Guard Station Cape Disappointment in Ilwaco, Washington. The work includes but is not limited to the following: (a) Prepare ground surface to include removal of colluvium and top soil. Ground should be leveled for the installation o concrete barrier; (b) Provide and install 230 feet of temporary pre-cast concrete barrier similar to existing and replace two 12 ft ? in existing sections. Barriers shall be anchored into the ground. Materials and installation shall be in accordance with section 6-10.3 Washington State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications 2000. See annotated New Site Plan; (c) Provide and install 8 ft high chain link fence into the top of the concrete barrier where indicated on the New Site Plan. Fence shall meet section 9-16.1 of Washington State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications 2000 for Class 1 material and be installed in accordance with section 8-12; (d) Provide and install end anchors similar to existing for each new fence section. Wire rope shall be 5/8? conforming to ASTM A 603. Turn buckles for tensioning shall be installed at the midpoint between the anchor and the end post. If possible, the anchor shall be offset back at a 45 degree angle from the barrier line. The period of performance is 60 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 and is a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 237990. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely on this website. This Solicitation can be downloaded from the http://www.eps.gov on approximately 2 June 2003. If it does not appear on that day, please check back daily. The due dates for bids will be approximately 17 June 2003. This date is estimated and may change.
