- Description
- The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking sealed bids for IFB CO4001/KAM for Contract CO4001. This Contract is a pilot program for tunnel leak remediation. This Contract consists of six tunnel test sections and one shaft test section for the control of the groundwater infiltration in the Red Line Tunnel. The work requires the sealing of active leaks, coating of the tunnel concrete and shortcrete surfaces with various water-proofing materials in the operating Red Line tunnels and the installation of grout collars in the Drummond Avenue ventilation shaft. Revenue service on the Red line will continue throughout the duration of this. Work to be completed in 180 cds after NTP. Estimated cost range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. We will hold a Pre-Bid Conference at 10:00 A.M on June 11, 2003 at the Jackson Graham Building, Lobby Level Meeting Room, at 600 Fifth Street, N.W. Bids will be opened o/a June 25, 2003.
