- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to procure approximately 86 additional Tactical Aircraft Moving Map Capability (TAMMAC) Advanced Memory Units (AMU) and approximately 335 Personal Computer Memory Card International Association (PCMCIA) Mission cards, 340 PCMCIA Maintenance cards, 36 PCMCIA Map Cards and engineering support services to include obsolescence design verification from Smiths Industries (SI), Inc. 3290 Patterson Avenue S.E., Grand Rapids MI 49512-1991 under Contract N00019-03-C-0018. SI is the sole designer, developer and supplier of the AMU, its Mounting Plate and the PCMCIA cards for the AMU and is the only source with the knowledge, expertise and technical data required to produce and maintain the AMU to meet the TAMMAC program?s performance and schedule requirements.
