- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Div. Newport intends to award a Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Marway Power Systems, Orange, CA for the following item: 15 ea. Power Distribution Unit; P/N MPD411425, 65VAC/115VAC Delta 35A/P 50-60 Hz. The specifications are as follows: Rackmountable, 1 Phase and 3 Phase power capability, 15 ea. 15 amp breakers, 1 ea. 20 amp breaker, 115 Vac, must run at maximum 60 Hz, main breaker 35 amp maximum (delta), requires MIL-505 series connectors for rear connectivity with 3 various keys. These items are to be installed in the Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR). Shipping is to Newport, RI. This procurement is sole source because this PDU model meets all technical and shock requirements. The CSRR electrical interfaces are specifically designed for this PDU, as well as the software used to control it and the other radio equipment. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Any company that believes it has the capability to meet the Government?s minimum requirements is invited to submit a quote for Government evaluation. NAICS: 334119. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room. The solicitation is expected to be made available for review no earlier than 05/16/2003.
