- NA Conduct pre-placement condition surveys and place approximately 1 million cubic yards (CY) of sand on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey anywhere from the groin at Seaview Road to 36th Street, depending on the latest beach conditions at time of constructi on. The contract will include three options for additional sand in this same area (200,000 cubic yards each option). The borrow area is approximately 5,000 feet offshore of Great Egg Harbor Inlet. Another option involves modifications to 3 existing stor m water outfalls, shortening 2 outfalls and increasing diameter of the 3rd outfall from 12 inches to 24 inches. The Invitation For Bid Number (IFB) DACW61-03-B-0009 will be available on the Internet Web pages on or about 2 June 2003. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors shall download this IFB (including drawings) and all amendments from the Internet web page at the following address https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date of the IF B. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Internet Web Page. All amendments to this IFB will be posted to the Internet web page at the above address. Hard copies will not be furnished. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor the web page for any amendments. Interested contractors must register on the Internet Web page. If any of the contractors information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet W eb Page. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause for delay in receiving notification of the IFB and Amendments. Contractors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments. Proposals will be due on or about 2 July 2003. NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $17.0. Bonding is required. If your bid guarantee is in the form of a bid bond, the bond must be properly signed by both the bidder and surety (BONDING DOCUMENTS INCLUDING POWER OF ATTORNEY SHOULD BEAR AN ORIGINAL SIGNATURE BY AN OFFICER OF THE SURETY) and all required seals must be affixed. All contractors are required to be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
