Description

This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition (Reference FAR Parts 12 and 13.5). The required service is to provide a Particle Counter Model CI-550 manufactured by CLIMET Instrument Company. The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to CLIMET Instrument Company. CLIMET Instrument Company is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement due to computer security requirements and the fact that this device has been approved for use on existing networked computer systems. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Solicitation No. F08650-03-T-0134 is issued as a Request for Quotation. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3545, business size of $5.0M and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 33212. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued on or about 14 May 03. The solicitation WILL NOT be posted electronically, but this office will provide a copy to any firm requesting one. Anticipated award date will be on or around 27 May 03.
