Description: The overall objective is to achieve through a well designed production related program that will make more irrigated land available for production and create investment opportunities for the private sector in irrigation. An additional objective is to create private animal feed enterprises for improved feed products and least cost rations for producers and further stimulate commercial networks. As stated above, environmentally sound approaches to the development of each of these sub-sectors will be critical to their sustainability. To the extent possible, the contractor is required to mainstream women in all aspects of these activities.
