Description
NA This project consists of the construction of a Survival Equipment Shop, Holloman Air Force Base, Otero County, New Mexico. Competition for this acquisition is restricted to eligible 8(a) contractors with a bona fide location in New Mexico who are capable o f performing under NAICS Code 236220/SIC Code 1542, with a size standard of $28,500,000.00. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bonding will be required for this acquis ition. The offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about May 22, 2003, with proposals due on or about June 24, 2003. This solicitation will be issued in CD-Rom format; it will not be issued on paper. The project consists of the construction of a 24,757 SF single story facility and a 110 foot tall parachute drying tower. Materials consist of concrete foundations and floors, CMU walls, metal wall liner panels and standing seam metal roof. Construction in cludes providing landscaping, site work, a parking lot, utilities, and the demolition of the existing 12,701 SF facility. Demolition includes asbestos abatement. The approximate construction period is 500 calendar days. The project will be advertised as a Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the be st overall value to the Government. Proposed procurement will result in a fixed-price contract. This solicitation will be issued using electronic bid sets (EBS) and provided on compact disks-read only (CD-ROM) at no charge to all registered plan holders. Any prospective offeror interested in proposing on this solici tation must register to be placed on the Plan Holders List. If you are not registered, the United States Government is not responsible for providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders must self-register on the Internet.
