- Description
- The purpose of this contract is to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, and other items necessary to transport government furnished cabin kit materials from Angoon to the project site at Distin Lake and construct the Sportsmen Cabin. Work includes on-site soils validation for cabin foundation; deck foundation design; construction of foundation, cabin, and cabin furniture; installation of one wood stove; interior and exterior wood finishing; and construction of staircase to front door. The project is located on Admiralty Island, in the Kootznoowoo Wilderness, approximately 15 statute miles from the village of Angoon, Alaska. Access is via floatplane on Distin Lake, at Latitude 57.634 degrees north, Longitude 134.380 degrees west. The performance period is 40 days. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about May 12, 2003 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation KTN-03-36. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project. To register, select 'Register to Receive Notification' and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LISTS: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the plan Holders Lists that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select 'Register as an Interested Vendor' and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting 'View List of Interested Vendors' for each project.
