- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in solicitation. For contractor's convenience separately attached is SF-1449, Solicitation, Contract, Order for Commercial Items and incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2001-13. The applicable NAICS is 423490; size standard is 500 employees. The USDA Forest Service intends to purchase 1(EA) REMTECH PA5 (OR EQUAL); 1(EA) Sigma w/computation; 1(EA) Sigma u and Sigma v computation; 1(EA) Sigma theta computation 1(EA) automatic temperature inversion/thermocline detection; 1(EA) automatic mixing height/depth calculation inluding discounts, warranties, packing and shipping. Equipment will be shipped to: Environmental Sciences Lab % USDA Forest Service, Univeristy of Maine, Orono, ME. Contractor's submitting an EQUAL product need to provide by the closing date enough information for the government to evaluate proposed sysatem.
