- Description
- The objective of this work is for a contractor to design and install a Public Address (PA) System at the NRC Headquarter?s location which serves as an Integrated-Solution that:1. Improves the overall reliability of the system; 2. Simplifies the use and monitoring of the system; 3. Uses a single microphone or similar audio input device installed at each of four audio input locations for the purpose of audio broadcasting; 4. Enables an NRC headquarter?s employee to make a PA announcement to all Headquarter's, or all Headquarter?s and Regional staff offices. The Contractor shall provide all design, supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, materials, permits, insurance, software and supplies necessary to upgrade the NRC Headquarter's PA system to achieve a very reliable Integrated-Solution. This contract is contemplated to run for a base period and four option years. It is estimated Request for Proposal (RFP) no. RS-ADM-03-173 will be posted on or about May 12, 2003 and will be distributed solely through the FedBizOpps website http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Closing date for proposals is will be approximately two weeks after the date that the solicitation is posted at the FedBizOpps website. The NRC does anticipate holding one site visit only during the solicitation period. The FedBizOpps website provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through the FedBizOpps website. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. Because this RFP will be posted at this website, interested parties are instructed NOT to send letters or e-mails or faxes requesting the RFP. Telephoned, e-mailed, or faxed requests for the RFP will not be accepted. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website to assure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The Government will not reimburse interested parties for any cost associated with responding to this business opportunity. Telephone inquiries or responses are not acceptable. Proposals for this requirement may be submitted by all concerns, i.e., large businesses, small businesses, and small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Businesses, large and small, interested in teaming arrangements, should send their business information (i.e., Name, address, contact name and phone number, and size of business) to the NRC Contract Specialist listed at the end of this notice. The NRC will post this information in a Teaming Opportunities list with the solicitation. In order to allow the Contract Specialist time to finalize the list in order to post it with the solicitation, the due date and time for receipt of business information is May 9, 2003. All parties are put on notice that this limited source list is not representative of all sources which may have accessed the solicitation which is available on the FedBizOpps website. All parties will be notified of the awardee?s name and address when the award information is synopsized in FedBizOpps. The size standard for this solicitation is 750 employees under NAICS 334310.
