- This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used in accordance with FAR13.5. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to procure on a sole source basis from Amco Engineering, Co., the following DDS Cabinet Assemblies and I/O Box Assemblies: six (6) DDS Cabinet Assemblies, Part Number S36983, two (2) I/O Box Assemblies, Part Number S36983-381, two (2) Base plate assemblies, Part Number S36983-405, one (1) Non-Recurring Engineering Fee, and one (1) Silkscreen Charge. This acquisition will occur via a Firm Fixed- Price contract. All items shall be deli vered and accepted FOB-Destination to the Receiving Officer, Bldg. 125, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5100, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM on weekdays. No deliveries will be accepted on Federal holidays. Delivery is required no later than 14 weeks ARO. This solicitation number is N00178-03-R-2042. It is issued as a Request for proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-12 (27 January 2003), and DFARS Change Notice 20030214. The NAICS Code associated with this procurement is 332111; the small business size standard is 500 employees. All offerors must include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with it?s offer. Additionally, FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Ite ms, FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, and FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders - Commercial Items (APR 2003), subparagraphs (a), (b)(1), (b)(5), (b)(11-16), (b)(21), (b) (24), (d), and (e) apply to this solicitation and are hereby incorporated by reference. Finally, DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (APR 2003), subparagraphs (a), (b)(252.225-7001), (b)(252.225-7012), (b)(252.225-7016, Alternate I), (b)(252.232-7003), (b)(252.243-7002), (b)(252.247-7023), and DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, also apply to this acquisition. The Defense Priority and Allocation System (DPAS) rating is DO-A70. The closing date for receipt of quotes is 3:00 p.m. (East ern time), May 16, 2003.
