Description
NA The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground has a requirement for the fabrication of durable rubber ballast blocks for airdrop testing in support of the Aviation Systems Division at the United States Army Yuma Proving Ground. This requirement was originall y synopsized as a sources sought synopsis in May 2000. This requirement is for CLIN 0001, 160 each rubber ballast blocks measuring approximately 11.5 ??????x11.5??????x47?????? + ???? inch, with a longitudinal hole down the center. The weight shall be no more than 130-135 pounds each. CLIN 0002 is for 24 each rubber ballast blocks 11.5??????X 11.5?????? X 95?????? long plus or minus ???? inch. The weight shall be no more than 260-265 pounds. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. T his requirement is being issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) as a Brand Name or Equal in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR clause 52. 211-6. Seals Unlimited 17300 S.W. Baseline Road, Beaverton, OR 97006 responded to the original sources sought solicitation with specifications and a technical drawing (SUI8X11X11ESBR), which were technically acceptable to the Government. As of this date no other sources have been found to provide these rubber ballast blocks. The so licitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2001-13(18 March 03) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), current to DCN 20030430. The preferred method of p ayment is by Government Visa Credit Card. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 326261 with a size standard of 500 employees. All quotes shall be clearly marked with this solicitation numb er DABK41-03-T-1508 and emailed to Pamela.nevels@yuma.army.mil or by facsimile to (928) 328-6849 no later than 5:00 PM MST on May 13, 2003. The Government intends to award a contract to the responsible bidder whose technical specifications conforms to the solicitation and will be the most advantageous to the Government based on acceptability and price. The following FAR and DFAR representations and certifications apply to this acquisition and must be filled out in accordance with FAR provision 52. 212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items (Oct 2000), FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items (Jul 2002). Offerors that fail to furnish required representations of information as required by FAR 52.212-1 and 52.212-3 cited above, or rejects the terms and conditions of this solicitation may be excluded from consideration.
