- Description: Bolling Air Force Base intends to procure services for researching and writing an historical manuscript tentatively entitled Encyclopedia of USAF Aircraft and Missile Systems: Post-World War II Fighters and Attack Aircraft, 1945-2000. The period of performance shall be for 12 months. Offerors shall meet the requirements and qualifications set out in the forthcoming Statement of Work (SOW). This acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation, and FAR Part 37 - Service Contracting. This acquisition is being acquired as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 711510. A solicitation package will be posted on or about 12 May 2003. All notices and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned site regularly for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors interested in submitting proposals must have a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code and a current registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract; it does not restrict the Government's ultimate approach; nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
