Description
This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Reduced Gravity Program which was posted on April 9, 2003. NOTE: This is a Request for Information (RFI), and as such this RFI was issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.202(e) responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to the RFI. You are notified that the following answers are provided in response to questions received from potential sources: 1. Does this program replace the current program or is it in addition to the current program? Reference is made to the Synopsis, dated April 9, for the Reduced Gravity Program and Section 1.0 of the document entitled ?Reduced Gravity Program Request for Information?. Section 1.0 states: ?NASA/JSC is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for the Reduced Gravity Program.? The criteria for this program are provided in the ?Reduced Gravity Program Request for Information? document. 2. Who currently operates the Reduced Gravity Program? Reference is made to the Synopsis, dated April 9, for the Reduced Gravity Program that states, in part: ?NASA operates the Reduced Gravity Program at Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC), Houston, Texas 3. If this program replaces the current program, why is it being discontinued? Reference is made to the Synopsis, dated April 9, for the Reduced Gravity Program that states in part: ?NASA is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for the Reduced Gravity Program. 4. Will the KC-135 be Government furnished? Reference is made to the document entitled ?Reduced Gravity Program Request for Information? Section 1.0 Description that states in part: ?The contractor shall provide an aircraft and aircrew?.? 5. Must the aircraft be a Boeing B707? No. See the document entitled ?Reduced Gravity Program Request for Information? for program requirements. The due date for responses is not extended. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/JSC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=CL&pin=73 Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any amendments.
