Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice. Upgrade area of the plaza. Work includes but is not limited to: Replacement of all plaza surface materials and waterproofing membrane surrounding high rise towers. Repair and replace existing drains and sub-drains to remove water at the waterproof membrane level surrounding high rise towers. Repair and reconstruct stone facing and cap of the foundation wall and parapet on the north and west sides of the plaza surrounding high rise towers. Repair and reconstruct two sets of stairs that connect the north side of the plaza surrounding the high rise towers to New Sudbury Street. Repair existing tower lobby door and glazing system components to reestablish watertight integrity. Mold testing. Install a snow melt system under the plaza structural slab surrounding the lobby glass on all sides of the high rise towers and the connector between the high rise and low rise buildings. Electric room drain pan and cable testing. Electric vault foundation wall repair. Option, add Bollards at the bottom of stairs to New Sudbury Street to match existing Bollards. The NAICS code for this project is 233320 and the small business size is $28.5 million. This solicitation is open to both large and small business under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Test Program. The General Services Administration strongly encourages participation by small businesses and the related socioeconomic categories of small disadvantaged, women-owned, service disabled veteran-owned and HUBZone businesses. Small businesses that are capable of joint venturing are also strongly encouraged to submit an offer. Estimated price range for construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. For reasons for security and before release of information, the requester must complete and sign the attached Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidders/Offers which is posted on the web site. The Notice shall be faxed to the point of contact herein, (Joyce Paul at 617-565-5967). NO TELEPHONE OR E-MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED, however facsimiles will be accepted. After verification of the preceding information, the requester will be designed as an authorized user and documents will be released to the requester. Potential offerers must ensure that requests include the address to which the documents are to be sent. Estimated posting date of the IFB is 5/20/2003 and will be open for at least 30 calendar days after issue date. The IFB with contract clauses, provisions and amendments will be issued electronically on the web site (www.eps.gov). The Technical Specifications, (Divisions 1 through 16), will be mailed on Compact Disk (CD) in PDF format along with full size drawings to authorized bidders. It is the bidders responsibility to monitor and download the EPS web site (www.eps.gov) for the release of any documents or amendments that are needed for this procurement.
