- This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the construction of a fire vehicle turnaround area. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 237990. The size standard is $28.5M. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The tentative RFQ issue date is on or about May 28, 2003. A firm fixed price order will be issued with a performance period of 60 days. Award will be made or about June 26, 2003. The Fish and Wildlife Service is presently using Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders. In order to submit an offer, vendors must register in the Central Contractor Registration at web site http://www.ccr.gov. If you have any registration questions, please call 888-277-2423. Prior to registering, each vendor must obtain a Dun and Bradstreet number. You may obtain this number free of charge at 800-333-0505. After registration, all vendors will be able to view posted solicitations and awards and submit quotes on line. This will be the only means of obtaining this solicitation/award. All vendors with access to the Internet and an e-mail address can receive electronic notifications of award. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Thus, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder's mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of offers may render your offer nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
