Description
NA DESC: 1005-001-396-4041, P/N 12956143, Body, Buttstock Assembly and 1005-01-396-4038, P/N 12956142, Buffer Recoil Mechanism. The Technical Data Package (TDP) for this solicitation and any resulting contract includes documents that are proprietary to FN He rstal. Disclosure and use of the TDP are restricted by the Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement that the offeror has executed prior to receipt of the TDP. A Technical Data Package (TDP) will not be provided as part of the solicitation. To obtain a copy of the TDP, a prospective offeror must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. After signature, the Non-Disclosure Agreement should be faxed to (309) 782-3813, ATTN: Teresa Stottlemyre. After receipt of the Non-Disclosure Agreement a copy of the TDP will be mai led by regular mail. The Non-Disclosure Agreement is an attachment to the solicitation posted on the web. Solicitation is issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Body, Buttstock Assembly consists of collapsible body, 12956144 and spring 12956145. Material is wrought aluminum alloy. Precision Machining required. The Buffer Recoil Mechanism consists of collapsible back plate, 12956155, buffer block extension 12956156 and buffer assembly 12556942. Precision Machining required. The Buffer Recoil Mechanism requires a First Article and Phosphate Coating. Requirements will be a 5 year Indefinite Delivery Quantity (IDIQ) with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 135 each for the Body, Buttstock Assembly and 375 each for the Buffer, Recoil Mechanism. FOB is Destination. Both items are used on the M5 Shouldered Gun Stock. Estimated issue date is 23 May 2003. The response date listed above is only an estimate. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, theref ore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and resu lt in the rejection of same.
