- Description
- Contractor shall provide professional industrial hygienist (IH) srevices to support the construction project - Replace Steam Piping, West Circle, at the VA Medical Center, Salem, Virginia. Work includes evaluation of submittals from abatement contractor; air monitoring utilizing Phase Contract Microscopy (PCM) unless the need arises for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM); attend/participate in Pre-abatement meeting; establish background levels outside of contaminate or work areas; inspection and testing during abatement work; final inspection and testing of decontaminated areas; and issue certificates of decontamination for each area or building and provide a report. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS code 541990 with a small business size standard of $6M applies. This procurement is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with applicable sections of FAR Part 13 and FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available for download at the Business Opportunity System o/a Friday, May 9, 2003 at www.bos.oamm.va.gov. Any amendments will be posted to the website. Bidders are responsible for obtaining any and all documents related to this solicitation.
