- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to the Transportation Research Board (TRB) to support and co-sponsor the 6th Transportation Research Board Bridge Engineering Conference to be held in mid to late 2005. FHWA proposes to support and co-sponsor the conference by providing funding and also technical expertise to the various planning and technical committees. TRB has organized and conducted a series of international conferences devoted to critical topics in bridge engineering. TRB will plan, conduct, and organize the conference, prepare and distribute a summary of the conference proceedings and research priorities, and provide logistical support for the conference. Because of TRB unique ability and past experience only they can provide the measure of expertise, independence, objectivity and audience acceptance necessary to meet the FHWA requirements. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the threshold $100,000. The anticipated award date is on or about May 21, 2003.
