- Description
- NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)for Research Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering (ROME). This procurement will include operations, maintenance, and engineering of complex research facilities, institutional facilities, and facility related IT services, ranging from routine systems administration to complex database development in addition to development of research facility automation and data acquisition systems. The DRAFT RFP has been released and is also located at this website under SS-ROME. The provisions and clauses in the RFP are those in effect through FAC 2001-13. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The release date of the final RFP is on or about June 5, 2003. Anticipated proposal due date is on or about July 22, 2003. All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency (i.e., this procurement is a full and open competition and is not a small business set-aside). The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541710 and 1500 employees, respectively. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and most documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 2000 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/LaRC Business Opportunities page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=23 However, to have a complete RFP package, you must obtain a compact disk to receive the SOW Appendices and Attachments. See Section L.9 to obtain this disk. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
