- Description
- NASA/MSFC has a requirement for an RF Amplifier System as follows: LA-22 RF amplifier; Option -060 power meter, Option -040 Cooling fan, 3CPX800A7 power tube, Qty. 2 (two required per amplifier), PS-70C HV DC Power Supply, 3CPX800A7 power tube (spare tube), 3.5 KVA C Core HV transformer for PS-70C; hybrid power combiner for amplifier input; hybrid power combiner for amplifier output. NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Lunar Link Systems pursuant to FAR 13.106 for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be only one source reasonably available. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on May 20, 2003. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
